Serve the Lord by thy Voice
St. Peter and Paul’s music program provides music for liturgical and devotional ceremonies including Gregorian Chant, sacred polyphonic, homophonic hymns and motets and organ music.
In accordance with St. Pius X’s Motu Propio, Tra le Sollecitudini, the aim of the music program is the glory of God and the edification of the faithful.
The schola cantorum, the choir, and the organists comprise the music program’s contributors. Schola Cantorum Sancti Joseph, a group of lay men, sings the Propers of the Mass. The choir, an ensemble of mixed voices, sings sacred works, and leads the faithful in singing the Commons of the Mass. The organ is employed for both voice accompaniment and feature music.
Willing and dedicated individuals, with or without training or experience, are welcome to join the music program and give their time and talent for the glory of God. Please contact the schola master, TBA!
